Responsibilities

  • Manage consumer freight

  • Negotiation & Communication skills

  • Source and negotiate with carrier base to transport loads.

  • Build strong carrier relationships: Via phone, posting services, email, etc.

  • Communicate customer problems, leads, and inquiries to the sales reps and customers.

  • Properly document truck capacity within TMS.

  • When possible, pre-plan the use of carriers and equipment for efficiency.

  • Develop a new customer base to manage.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web based software

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
